Girl Scouts of San Diego Badge Workshops

In partnership with Girl Scouts of San Diego, we offer the following badge workshops in entrepreneurship, financial literacy and work-readiness!

Savvy Shopper - Girl Scouts will learn about needs vs. wants and how to shop smart.
- Program Outline:
  - Explore your needs and wants
  - A second look at needs
  - Why do you want what you want?
  - Shopping smart
  - Make a plan!
- At the completion of the workshop, Girl Scouts will earn a certificate that will enable them to purchase their Savvy Shopper badge!

Budgeting - Girl Scouts will learn about everything that goes into a budget and how to create their own.
- Program Outline:
  - Budgeting for your values
  - Tracking your spending
  - Ways to save money
  - Ways to give
  - Create your own budget!
- At the completion of the workshop, Girl Scouts will earn a certificate that will enable them to purchase their Budgeting badge!
Comparison Shopping - Girl Scouts will learn the importance of comparison shopping and how it applies to their every day purchases, both big and small.
- Program Outline:
  - Learning to comparison shop
  - Using online reviews
  - Understanding the fine print
  - Avoid online fraud
  - Managing online shopping!
- At the completion of the workshop, Girl Scouts will earn a certificate that will enable them to purchase their Comparison Shopping badge!
Financing my Dreams - Girl Scouts will learn how to finance their dreams to make them a reality.
- Program Outline:
  - Exploring your dream job
  - Pricing your dream home
  - Research dream vacations
  - Philanthropy: make a dream giving goal
  - Adding up your dreams!
- At the completion of the workshop, Girl Scouts will earn a certificate that will enable them to purchase their Financing my Dreams badge!

Additional Details:

Cost: Each badge is $15/person
Location: All workshops are self guided and will be run virtually
Date/Time: Workshops are run continuously (no start and end dates)
